The fun and excitement of the Holiday Season is always enhanced by the yummy consumption of food and drink. Some of the best offering of the season come in the way of  party cocktails. Champagne cocktails are a wonderful addition to all parties from November through the new year.
This champagne and brandy cocktail provides you with the tongue sizzle and eye bedazzle, as you enjoy it with your friends, family and co-workers. The bitters and brandy bring a refreshing warmth to the bubbly. Choose a quality organic Champagne for this drink as it contributes the majority of the flavor.  Always remember to add your champagne last and immediately before serving your guests, as this enhances the dissolving sugar cube effect that is so unique with this drink.

Yield: 1 Drink


  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2-3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Champagne
  • 1 oz brandy
  • orange slice and maraschino cherry for garnish


  1. Place the sugar cube in the bottom of a Champagne flute.
  2. Use the dashes of Angostura bitters to saturate the sugar cube.
  3. Add the brandy.
  4. Fill with Champagne.
  5. Garnish with the orange slice and cherry.
Only one thing left to say….YUM!
