You’ve got your eco-friendly party ware, your sustainable red, white, and blue feast, all natural mosquito repellent, and organically brewed beer to top it off. But when you and your guests head over to watch the local fireworks, will you undo all that healthful green activity with exposure to toxic potassium perchlorate? Probably not: first of all, unless you work at an amusement park or follow a touring heavy metal band, most people only attend one or two fireworks displays [...]

If you’re not a year-round biking enthusiast, I certainly hope you’ve at least dusted off your wheels to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. All bicycles require a tune-up at least once a year, for the smoothest ride and the best conservation of your equipment. Most bicycle shops will take care of this for a small fee or even for free, but if you’d like to do it yourself the process is easy enough to learn.

Most parts of the United States won’t see the last frost of winter until late April or early May. If you’re thinking of gardening this summer, though, you might want to get started soon, since many types of seedling prefer to be pampered indoors for six weeks or more before being transplanted to the great outdoors.
Seeds of Change has been a convenient natural gardening supplier for some time, offering a wide variety of both popular and unusual organic heirloom seeds [...]

For the first time in the history of golf, players used ‘green’ golf grips at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.
These green grips were created by a company called ‘Scuti’s Grips’ and went over nicely.
Since most grips are created from rubber or plastic, the BigLite EFG grips are created from biodegradable foam. This helps golfers stay on their game and on the side of the environment.
One of the greatest things golfers noticed about these new green golf grips [...]

New York’s theater community has been on the philanthropic bandwagon for a long time, but they’ve recently made a big environmental pitch called Broadway Goes Green.
